"I lost my voice for two weeks after Japan, which is why the podcast hasn't been updated for the past two weeks". This Hokkaido trip was my first time joining a group tour instead of traveling solo. It was a real lesson in letting someone else take the lead and experiencing Taiwanese tour group culture firsthand.

The best part was the tour bus, it was a huge relief to leave my heavy bags behind while someone else handled the driving. Our guide felt like a strict teacher, especially when "setting the stage" for the duty-free shop visit.
