Christine Brennan and Brian Boitano share their instant reaction to what was a mixed bag of result by the United States women’s free skate short program. Alysa Liu finished in third place and is very much in the hunt for gold. Isabeau Levito skated well enough to crack the top 10 and is still in striking distance of the podium. But the biggest story of the night was Amber Glenn’s one costly mistake that saw her finish in 13th place and mostly likely out of medal contention. Brian and Christine unpack all of this and set the scene for the long program on Thursday.
