If you’re anything like me, you desire a life that improves over time, one that maybe isn’t easy per se but if you could avoid the big heartbreaks, that would be nice. I tend to think that we express that in our prayers as well. We ask for things like protection, healing, deliverance, and provision. All of those are good things but sometimes the more helpful requests might be for courage, patience, perseverance, and endurance. We’re in Matthew 10:16-25, the part of Jesus’ teaching where he tells his disciples just how hard their ministry will be.
