Episode Description

Today, I share a lesson I learned while taking a walk. Not from a sermon, podcast, or book. But from a piece of concrete. On a recent walk, I noticed two sections of sidewalk. One section was relatively new. The other had clearly been there much longer. Both were strong. Both were made from the same ingredients. Both contained sand, cement, and reinforcing steel beneath the surface. Yet one section showed signs of wear. Not because it was weaker. Not because it had a different foundation. It had simply been exposed longer. Frankly, that observation reminded me of life. The older we get, the more exposure we accumulate. The question is not whether our foundation is strong. The question is whether we are paying attention to what is shaping us over time.
