For more than three decades, Travel Classics Magazine Conference has brought together leading voices in travel media across the United States, Europe, and beyond. Over that time, seven of its gatherings have been held in Ireland, each bringing editors and storytellers into close conversation with place and one another.I have attended two of the Ireland conferences, including the 2023 gathering, along with several others in the United States. Most recently, I returned from the 2026 Switzerland conference in Ticino, where an Ireland sponsored lunch brought me back to earlier moments in Ireland and the conversations that stayed with me.In 2023, just as I was beginning my BRAVE-ish book tour, I recorded a series of interviews with editors during the Ireland conference and asked:What fills your heart about Ireland?Since that gathering, the industry has continued to evolve.
