* The public safety tax is officially on the November ballot, 6-1. Crist in opposition. The second and final reading passed tonight, locking in the 70/30 sales-to-property-tax.

* Three First and Main ordinances passed unanimously. The urban renewal plan is approved, the parking garage financing is authorized, and a necessary easement was cleared.

* Longmont held an ethics complaint hearing. The complaint against Mayor Pro Tem McCoy was reviewed. Council did not adopt the hearing officer’s recommended reprimand. McCoy will issue a written apology to Airport Manager Levi Brown. Passed 4-2, Crist and Prieto opposed.

* Short-term rental trial ordinance and routine appropriations passed second reading. Both now law. The short-term rental ordinance allows homeowners to rent their properties during city-designated major regional events.

* The City Council Action Plan was partially resolved. Golf Course Advisory Board dissolved unanimously into Parks and Rec. Board and commission feedback deferred again.

* Water rights fee updated unanimously. Developers who build in Longmont must provide water rights to cover new demand. The cash-equivalent fee they can pay instead was updated from $59,625 to $63,000 per acre-foot, keeping it in line with real-world water rights costs.
