BYU marched into Fort Collins and physically dismantled Colorado State 41-23, with Kalani Sitake’s squad controlling both lines of scrimmage from the opening whistle and proving their depth is built for the long haul. Down in Charlotte, West Virginia put on an absolute clinic against a ranked Virginia squad, with Michael Hawkins Jr. shredding the Cavaliers in a 38-27 statement victory that showcased the undeniable grit of Morgantown football.

From high-stakes neutral site dominance to hostile road environments, the conference is playing with an aggressive, chip-on-the-shoulder identity that the committee and media algorithms simply cannot ignore forever. Week after week, Big 12 teams are forced to run a brutal gauntlet against each other, yet they still manage to step outside the conference and punch traditional brand names right in the mouth.

This isn't about sneaking into the conversation anymore; it's about forcing the door wide open. When programs across the board execute with this level of physical resilience, the entire college football landscape is put on notice: the Big 12 isn't chasing anyone.
