Often, neurodivergent kids struggle to understand why people would have sex for pleasure. This may be due to sensory issues, disinterest, or the assumption by adults that they aren't (and won't ) be interested, so don't need to know this.
It's best to assume your kid will be interested in sex and relationships so that they can have a healthy and fun sex life - if they want one.
