Episode Description
Why Am I So Tired When I Haven’t Done Anything Different?
You’re doing the same job. Managing the same household. Caring for the same people. Keeping up with the same responsibilities. So why does everything suddenly feel so much harder?
In this episode of I Am Change-ing, I widen the lens on fatigue and explore what may be happening beneath the exhaustion.
Sometimes the issue isn’t what you’ve done today. It’s the cumulative load your mind, body and nervous system have been carrying for months, years, or even decades. When your internal alarm remains switched on, your body can be physically resting while your nervous system is still working overtime.
We explore survival mode, stress hormones, emotional labour, cognitive overload, burnout, the changing capacity of women through perimenopause and menopause, and why “nothing has changed” doesn’t necessarily mean your body hasn’t changed.
I’ll also guide you through a simple somatic nervous system reset you can use to reconnect with the present moment and begin noticing what your body is actually telling you.
Perhaps the better question isn’t “Why am I so tired?”
Perhaps it’s “What has my body been trying to manage?”
