Laboring In Obscurity 

In some circles,
this is considered real freedom
or better than freedom—
whatever that is?

No clicking cameras, no paparazzi,
no emails crushing your crowded inbox
asking about the next time you’ll be
in New York or London?

I declare that poetry is in no danger
of being sullied by money or fame.
