As infiltration of the US Government becomes a greater threat, DC policymakers must develop a bipartisan agreement to adopt necessary reforms to be implemented and avoid political partisanship. The US moved from the Jacksonian Period of the Spoils System to a meritocracy based on a person’s skills and loyalty to the Constitution.
