Today we are studying Acts Chapter 21. In this chapter, Paul continues his journey toward Jerusalem, even though he knows suffering may be waiting for him there. Along the way, believers warn him through the Spirit that hardship is ahead, and the prophet Agabus shows that Paul will be bound and handed over to the Gentiles. Yet Paul is willing not only to be bound, but even to die for the name of the Lord Jesus. Acts 21:13 says, “Then Paul replied, ‘What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.’” This chapter reminds us that following Christ requires surrender, courage, and trust in the will of God, even when obedience becomes costly.
