In textbook Ghost Stories style, though, we’re taking this first episode to do a little scene setting with a crash course in the history of Ireland: colonial occupation, Irish resistance, the machinations of the British deep state, and the IRA’s vexed and uneasy relationship with Germany and, later, NAZIS.
