In February 2006, during Mardi Gras weekend in New Orleans, 29-year-old Toby Beaugh was killed in a deliberate hit-and-run while walking home with his wife. Witnesses say a black pickup truck stopped, waited, and then accelerated into Toby before fleeing the scene.
Despite multiple eyewitnesses, the driver was never identified. As weeks turned into years, the investigation stalled, documentation grew thin, and key questions went unanswered.
Nearly two decades later, Toby’s family is still searching for the truth, and for the person responsible to be held accountable.
