Local Durango artist Nancy Byers shares her passion for creating unique and beautiful fused glass art.

In this episode I'm excited to be speaking with local Durango artist Nancy Byers who over the last seven years has been creating art using fused glass. Her unique and beautiful pieces have been exhibited in many locations in the region. Raven House Gallery and BurroFest both in Mancos, Colorado, the Durango Creative District's Bicycle Art Show, Durango Open Studio Tours, KDUR Furniture As Art and at the Turquoise Raven Art Gallery for their Music of the 60s, 70s and 80s exhibit in Cortez, Colorado. When she describes her career path she calls it "Aviation to Art" so we will also be talking about her 20 years as a commercial pilot for Continental Airlines. Before that she was a Music and Elementary Ed teacher. After retiring from the airlines she ran a winery for 5 years in Golden, Colorado.
