The mind is a master storyteller, but not always an accurate historian.
Growth begins when you notice which parts of your story are interpretations, not truths. Many limiting narratives survive simply because they’ve never been questioned. Writing down the “story version” and then listing only the verifiable facts underneath it is a surprisingly effective reset. Before we ever change our direction in life, we usually change the story we’re telling ourselves. What are the important things we need to know or do to change the narrative about our lives if we know the stories we are telling ourselves are not helping us grow as individuals?

Long before our behaviors change, the meaning we assign to our life usually does. When the story we’re telling ourselves stops supporting growth, what’s needed isn’t denial or forced positivity, but a deliberate and compassionate narrative update.
