Episode Description

Boston is in chaos, culminating in a bloody clash between locals and redcoats. From the turmoil steps John Adams...a young lawyer who volunteers to do the least wanted job in the city: defending British soldiers accused of perpetrating a massacre. Later, Parliament comes down hard on the American colonies, introducing more taxes and suspending rights. Colonial leaders gather together to plan a response...and a tall, composed Virginian named George Washington comes to the fore...
