Episode Description
Welcome to the Folkloring Podcast. In this episode I welcome author Helen Lundstrom Irwin. Helen is the author of The Lure of Water and Wood, creator of the virtual space The Foremother’s Café and founder of the Virtual Reality Historical Initiative, a brand new initiative inspired by history meeting virtual reality. We discuss Swedish folklore, how folklore fits in to virtual reality social spaces and the importance of normalizing marginalized people in our stories in ways that do not center on their “otherness”. Oh, and naughty tree spirits.
