The 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon just started, and Subaru has made some big announcements.To make sense of all the bombshell news, we sit down with Dewey from IAG, Art from Overtake, and Smeedia in this episode!We thought that the focus was going to be around the STI that they were scheduled to unveil. It turns out that what they are going to call the “STI” in Japan, is what we had here in the US as the WRX TS since last year.There is initially a fair amount of disappointment about this, and we talk about it.But there were two other big announcements that have really caught our attention two.First, what we saw a couple of months ago as the STI Performance-B concept is what Subaru is going to be running in the Super Taikyu series this year, and there are some really interesting tweaks that they have done to the engine.Also for the 2026 season, the GT300 BRZ will be running a 3.0 liter Twin Turbo boxer engine.What does all of this mean?
