The newest episode of the Downtown Lowdown podcast, hosted by Tasha Weaver and Greg Enslen and presented by the Downtown Tipp City Partnership, shines a spotlight on one of Tipp City’s most beloved local businesses. This episode features Andrea Hoover, co-owner of Coldwater Cafe and Bodega Wine and Specialty Foods Market alongside her husband, Nick Hoover. Andrea shares the story behind building two standout downtown destinations that have become favorites among locals and visitors alike, while also discussing the passion and community spirit that drive their success.
Since opening in July 2016, Bodega Wine and Specialty Foods Market has become known as Tipp City’s go-to destination for exceptional wine, specialty foods, and convenient gourmet meals. The market features more than 400 wines, including nearly 250 labels priced under $25, along with craft beer from top Ohio breweries, cheeses, Crimson Cup coffee, and gluten-free offerings. Andrea discusses how Bodega’s close connection with Coldwater Cafe allows customers to enjoy chef-prepared meals directly from the café kitchen through the deli case, daily Brown Bag Lunch and Dinner specials, and a rotating weekly menu that keeps customers coming back for something new.
During the conversation, Andrea also highlights the welcoming atmosphere that makes Bodega more than just a place to shop. From the popular Wine of the Month Club to the annual Holiday Wine Show, the market has become a gathering place for wine lovers and food enthusiasts throughout the Miami Valley. Stay tuned to the Bodega’s Facebook for updates on how they will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary. Listeners will get an inside look at the dedication it takes to provide high-quality products, creative meal solutions, and memorable experiences while helping downtown Tipp City continue to thrive as a vibrant destination for shopping, dining, and community connection.
