Have you ever met someone who exuded calm and kindness from the get go, and then, the more you talked, realized that it wasn't only a first impression, they actually walk the talk? Well, that was Cris Pop for me. Cris built his company, Thunder, with the specific intention that work and humanity never have to compete. When people ask him why he's so intent on building a human-centric culture, he's crystal clear on the why. It's because he's worked in enviroment where that was lacking. And it didn't feel good. I got to spend a few days with Cris at a retreat earlier this year, and knew I wanted to interview him on the podcast because he's a genuine breath of fresh air; I've never met a CEO like him, and I know that you'll leave this episode both inspired about what work can be, and also with some strategies about how you might make work a better place for yourself, even if you aren't a CEO.
