The nuclear family, sometimes called the traditional or natural family, Dad, Mom and a few kids, has been under duress since the 1960s.  Earlier it was social trends, cultural change, economics, education and employment decisions, that put pressure on the family, but later and more recently its been intentional targeting by groups like Black Lives Matter or leftism in general. Also, since 1973, abortion has played a negative role, along with the broader sexual liberation movement. Yet history is replete with evidence the traditional nuclear family is the primary building block of healthy societies, especially free societies.  Lose the family and lose the future.  Christian teaching blesses and reinforces the family in numerous ways.
