Multiculturalism has, along with woke DEI, one of the religions du jour of the intelligentsia for about fifty years now. It sounds good. Everyone no matter their religions, values, practices, ways of life, nationality, we'll all just meld together in one big happy family. John Lennon hoped for something like this with his 1971 "Imagine," in which some of the lyrics say, "Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do. Nothing to kill or die for. And no religion, too. Imagine all the people. Livin' life in peace. You." Problem is, it's not reality. It ignores God, human nature born in sin and thus evil in the world. Europe tried this since the 1970s and in Germany's former Chancellor's words, it "utterly failed." Much of Europe is now in trouble, polarized by cultures that did not assimilate and do not endorse the Judeo-Christian values upon which European cultures were built.  The USA tried this especially under Presidents Obama and Biden. Hasn't worked here either. Multiculturalism is a false, fractious, failed philosophy and the sooner we recognize this the better for us all.
