Fathers are key to healthy children becoming mature adults. Absence of a father, inattention of a father, engagement with a bad father can decimate, even destroy a child's life. Many of the social pathologies America is experiencing today track back to a breakdown of the family and often the impact of a poor father - boys in prison, adolescent girls getting pregnant, drug and domestic abuse - it sadly goes on and on. Fathers in this technological age are as important as ever. Presence, right values, mature behavior and judgment, loving the child's mother, all are critical. God give us more good fathers.
