So, who are the people of Kalachi, Kazakhstan, and why did an entire town just decide to nap for days on end? Well, they didn’t exactly “decide” – but, in a phenomenon that still has people confounded years later, hundreds of villagers in Kalachi started randomly falling asleep for days. And by that, we don’t mean they got extra comfy on the couch; we’re talking multi-day comas. This town fell into the world’s longest nap, and even now, most folks have yet to piece together even a semi-coherent answer as to why.
