Ann Pettifor (1947) is a leading British economist. She is one of the driving forces behind the Green New Deal, a package of measures aimed at making the economy more sustainable. She advises governments worldwide and is director of Policy Research in Macroeconomics (PRIME), a network of economists researching Keynesian monetary theory and policy.
