Episode Description
This season, Sr. Orianne Pietra René and Sr. Julie Benedicta share some of the interviews the sisters did with college students and campus ministers at the SEEK24 conference in St. Louis. In today’s episode, we ask: how can we trust God? What does that even look like? (And why do so many of us find it soooo hard?!)
Thanks for joining us, and thank you to all of the SEEK participants who joined us!
Sr. Orianne and Sr. Allison Regina wrote a book about confession! Check it out here: Forgiven
· Genesis 3:1–7 (the serpent’s lie that God is untrustworthy)
· 1 Corinthians 2:1–3 (we proclaim Christ crucified)
· Matthew 6:25–34 (Do not worry about your life)
· Acts 9 (Paul’s conversion)
· Isaiah 49:14-16 (I will never forget you)
· 2 Timothy 2:11-13 (God remains faithful)

Challenge: Pray with Psalm 130. Read it slowly and allow yourself to form your own prayers to the Lord. If you feel inspired to stop and reflect with just one word or phrase, do it. Finish your time of prayer with an Act of Trust. You can use this litany from the Sisters of Life, or make up your own prayer.

Bonus: check out this Aramaic chant of Jeremiah’s lament from the dust.
