An Irishman accused of murdering a US nurse in Budapest has told a court that his parents have bought an apartment in the Hungarian capital in an effort to help him get bail.

The Sunday Independent's Ali Bracken was in court to hear the pre-trial evidence in the case against the man accused of killing Mackenzie Michalski in what he claims was a sex game gone wrong.
