Young widow Alice (Souheila Yacoub, ‘Dune: Part Two’) cremates what’s left of her abusive husband at the start of this sixth ‘Evil Dead’ movie. Back at the family home, tensions flare beyond typical family dysfunction as Alice’s in-laws turn into Deadites one by one, including Hunter Doohan (‘Wednesday’) and Tandi Wright (mother of ‘Pearl’).

This French-fried ‘Evil Dead’ is one of the franchise’s darkest, but does that make it groovy? Or should all copies be burned by dawn? Listen to find out!
