In this episode, week 2 of our Apostles’ Creed series, Pastor Nate turns to the cornerstone of the Christian faith: Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord. Christianity is not simply built around the teachings of Jesus; it stands entirely upon the person and work of Jesus Himself. Everything was created through Him and for Him, and our hope of salvation rests upon who He is and what He has done.

Walking through this portion of the Creed, which is also the largest section, we explore Jesus as the promised Christ/Messiah and eternal Son of God, His deity and true humanity, His suffering and death under Pontius Pilate, His burial and descent to the place of the dead, His bodily resurrection, His ascension and present reign at the right hand of the Father, and His promised return to judge the living and the dead. The message ends by bringing us to the deeply personal question at the heart of the Creed: Do I truly believe in Jesus as Messiah, The only Son of God, as Lord and am I ready for the day when my King returns?
