Episode Description

Safeguarding minister Jess Phillips will not allow there to be "a stitch up" over the grooming gangs scandal, one of her key Labour allies has said, as five victims said she should not have to resign.

Phillips position as the minister in charge of the grooming gangs inquiry is under threat after four victims quit a panel advising the setting up of the statutory grooming gangs inquiry and called for Phillips to quit.

However Natalie Fleet, Labour MP for Bolsover, backed Phillips and said she was intent on delivering justice for the victims.

Phillips has campaigned successfully for a law change which comes into force on Monday to stop rapists who make their victims pregnant from having access to their children.
