Episode Description
WGN Radio’s Charlie Roumeliotis and Jack Heinrich recap Jonathan Toews’ return to the United Center for the first time as a visitor and the deafening three and a half minute standing ovation he received from the Chicago crowd. They also hear from Toews about his return game and what the reception meant to him.
Later, Charlie and Jack discuss the surprise appearance by Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams and Cubs outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong, who were sitting front row and visited with players in the locker room. They dive into the crossover and mutual support among Chicago’s young sports stars.
Charlie and Jack close out the show by reacting to Toews’ introspective comments on Connor Bedard and how he’s handled the pressure of being the face of the franchise. Plus, they preview Frank Nazar’s looming return and the gauntlet of a schedule ahead for the Blackhawks leading into the Olympic break.
