Matthew 16 is a pivotal chapter in Matthew’s gospel account. Jesus announces His intention to build His church to His apostles, as well as telling them what He is soon to suffer.

What we learn about the King’s church from this chapter teaches us that He has indeed established His church, but not in the way people expect. And that requires us to make a choice.
