Penn State head coach Matt Campbell and GM Derek Hoojer have been working to get to know the current roster and develop a retention plan for the team ahead of the 2026 portal. How has that plan gone so far? We’ll grade each offensive position for its ability to keep quality players in the Lasch Building so far. While many have announced their intentions to leave or return, there’s a handful of players at each position who have yet to make their plans known. We’ll issue a grade now, but reserve the right to update it as we learn more about the undecided situations over time. 

Today, we focus on the quarterback and offensive tackle positions with the loss of Ethan Grunkemeyer to the portal, but the retention of Anthony Donkoh and several other offensive tackles.
