Episode Description
What does it look like to truly care for the elderly with dignity, compassion, and purpose?
Sara sits down with occupational therapist and business owner Miriam Atkins to talk about the power of relationships in patient care, especially in the geriatric world.
Miriam is a licensed occupational therapist, business owner, and homeschooling mom of four. Together with her husband, Mark, she co-founded HomeWell Care Services in Boise, Idaho, with a shared vision of helping older adults age in place while preserving dignity, connection, and independence. Outside of her professional work, Miriam enjoys reading classics, organizing homeschool adventure days, tackling home improvement projects, and training in jiu-jitsu.
HomeWell Care Services is a locally owned in-home care agency in the Boise area focused on helping older adults live independently at home. We provide support with daily activities, but more importantly, we focus on building real relationships and keeping people engaged in the things that matter most to them.
