Episode Description

Making a plan for your magnificent corpse. TODAY'S QUESTION: "I wanted to seek some advice from the boiz about handling some end of life details. Thankfully, this is not something I'm eminently expecting. But, I was forced to grapple with this question earlier this year after a cancer scare. While on that note, let me suggest an old school grawlix challenge: Get a Colonoscopy. I put mine off despite some really awful family history with digestive system cancers. I finally came to my senses and got it done, and did so just in time. "Anyway, amongst the things I was forced to reckon with was that I didn't really know what I wanted done with my body. All I really knew is that I didn't want to be buried. I find it overly expensive process and ultimately a waste of land to store a body that I no longer have a use for, nor do I need. In my mind cremation was the probably the easiest, and best way to get rid of my body. I then thought of asking that my ashes be spread in glacier Park from a peak I loved hiking up, but that's starting to feel like a burdensome side quest to force on a loved one. I also realized that for family who may want something local to remember me by, that would not be particularly easy. "So, what should I request be done with my body once I'm gone? Obviously, your advice is legally binding and thus I'll be updating any required documents forthwith. Sincerely, -Sheldon"
