Episode Description
St Kilda’s Lance Collard has been handed a nine-week suspension from the AFL tribunal for a homophobic slur during a VFL match last month. It took the disciplinary hearing three days to hear the evidence and come to a decision, but the process and outcome might have raised more questions than answers. How should the AFL balance punishment with prevention, will the process discourage other players from reporting and are there any winners out of this situation?
Featured: Marnie Vinall, journalist, ABC SPORT.
